National College of Media & Communication- Infrastructure & College Activities
National College of Media and Communication has a wide range of facilities meeting up with international standards.
Class Rooms: There are 30 class rooms. Each student has a separate desk and chair. All the class rooms are fully air conditioned. The teaching methodology is through lecture cum demonstration. All classrooms have LCD projectors that provide both visual and oral learning experience. All classrooms are aesthetically decorated and have the ambiance of learning with fun.
Computer Lab: The College has well equipped lab with latest computing recourses. The lab is equipped with super specialty software meant for animation and multimedia courses. The lab is available for the students in their free time after the class lectures.
Library: There are a wide range of books, periodicals and journals at the National College of Media and Communication. It caters to the needs of the students and also for the faculties to prepare for their lectures.
Studio: The NCMC has a well equipped studio having specialized equipments required for media and entertainment industry. It includes digital video & still cameras. The edit suites are equipped with the latest editing software.
Cafeteria: The college canteen provides refreshments, tea, coffee, fast food at nominal prices to the students. NCMC encourages only vegetarian food. The good ambience at the cafeteria provides students comfortable environment to cool their heels.
Stationary Shop: A mini stationary shop functions inside the college premises. It caters to the needs of all the necessary requirements of the students.
Locker Facility: The College provides locker facilities for students to keep their every day useable materials and other things.
Hostel Facility: NCMC has separate hostel for the girls. The hostel has modern amenities and it provides “home away from home” atmosphere. The girl’s hostel has assured security.
College Bus/Van: The NCMC has one big college bus and two vans to transport the students from the city. These vehicles ply on main routes and there are pick up and drop points.
Auditorium: The College has a multiple purpose auditorium. Students assemble there for seminars conferences and workshop. The screening of films and other cultural activities also takes place in the auditorium.
College Activities
National College of Media and Communication organizes a host of activities under the various clubs run by its students. A student committee is selected for each club that coordinates with the students to organize the events. The management allocates a budget for each event.
Fresher’s Welcome: The first event of the year is the fresher’s welcome. It is organized by the senior students of the college in honor of the fresh students. At the fresher’s party, the new students are given a warm welcome.
Theater Club:The NCMC theater club is a vibrant body that nurtures the dramatic skills. It is through the medium of drama that the students communicate their internal and external expressions. The committee member of the theater club organizes a play every year for the general audience.
Sports Club: The NCMC has an active sports club that organizes multiple sports competition. It conducts inter college tournaments and also sends students to participate in competitions. The sports club organizes an annual sports day every year. The NCMC gives scholarship to the talented sports person and few seats are reserved for sports persons.
Culture Club: The cultural club has the responsibility to organize intercollegiate competitions. Events such as debate quiz, singing and dancing competition are organized. The cultural club also sends students to participate in inter-college cultural competition. A cultural extravaganza ‘Aatma’ is organized as a fund raiser.
Literary Club: The literary club brings out the literary talent of the students and gives them scope for creative expression. The literary club brings out the annual magazine which is a mirror of the activities held in the college.
Excursion Club: The NCMC excursion club organizes educational tours to other cities. This is to break away from the monotony of classroom atmosphere. In the excursion trip students have to travel to a new place and they have submit a report of their learning experience to the college.
NSS Club: The National Social Service club is active for social service. It organizes special walks in the city to raise awareness about social issues. The NSS club invites students of other college’s for any such activities. This develops them as responsible citizen of the country.
